How we work
As financial and investment planners, we are primarily concerned with client objectives and attitude to risk. We establish a complete and accurate list of assets, from which we can agree assumptions and projected future values to one or more future dates. These are tracked and listed each year.
Our objective is a well informed client, who is financially well organised and knows the difference between personal objectives and commercial bias, understands risk and reward and uses their tax allowances.
All information is held confidentially on our computer system and is available to clients at anytime.
The initial and annual review
Ideally our first meeting will take place in our offices in the West Country but we do travel to meet clients and can make arrangements if necessary.
The second meeting involves discussion of our Draf Report which covers all aspects of financial planning and is set out under four headings:
|
Planning for client objectives: |
A comfortable retirement, a holiday home in Spain etc. |
|
Investment planning: |
Building and maintaining tax efficient investment portfolios. |
|
Tax Planning: |
Annual reviews of income, capital gains and inheritance tax. |
|
Risk Management: |
Advice on personal risks, health and debt. |
A personalised plan
This process leads to the creation of an individual financial plan which is then updated and modified annually. Full details of all assets are contained in an asset report which is produced each year.
